Bestowed upon the Marchesi del Monte Santa Maria by Charlemagne, Reschio evolved into an independent fiefdom under the Holy Roman Empire in 1355, amidst the turbulent landscape of Umbria and Tuscany. With dramas unfolding, from familial power struggles to papal admonishments, the estate witnessed transitions through noble lineages, until the Bolza family's arrival in 1984. This aristocratic Austro-Hungarian clan, driven by an unwavering passion, embarked on a journey to revive and safeguard Reschio's majestic heritage, ensuring its timeless allure for generations to come.
